It’s Our 60th Birthday
It’s Our 60th Birthday and we originally planned to celebrate on Independent Bookstore Day (IBD) scheduled for Saturday, April 24th. IBD has been rescheduled for Sat, August 29th and the theme is “Not Now, I’m Reading!”
In lieu of a large gathering, we have decided to devote an entire week of August to celebrating our 60 years of bookselling.
From Sunday, August 23 through Saturday, August 29, we will have daily promotions and prize drawings! And cookies! And giveaways (while supplies last)!
We have also created a few activities for you and your family to complete at home. There is no minimum/maximum age for any of the activities. Adult help is encouraged for small children who wish to participate. See below for details or stop by the store for a packet of activities.

For each activity that you complete, you will receive a coupon good for $1 off any item in the store and an entry form to win one of two (2) $25 gift certificates to the store. If you complete 5 or more, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to the store and a personal shopping hour! Each member of a family is welcome to participate, but only one entry per person for each activity will be permitted. All ages are welcome to do all activities (adult help is welcome for little customers)
Some activities must be brought into the store. Others may be submitted via email or social media. See the descriptions for more information. Activity packets are also available in the store.
You may turn in entries August 1st - 6:00 PM on August 29th.
Our August Hours are Monday through Saturday 10-6 and Sundays from 11-4.
Please note that we will be strictly following the State's Regulations for retail establishments. This includes all customers and employees (over the age of two) wearing masks that securely fit over their nose and mouth and maintaining social distance. We encourage all of you to continue to utilize our curbside pickup service at this time. This allows you to shop safely from home and do a quick dash in and out to retrieve your purchases. Curbside pickup is available for both in stock items and special orders made to the store. Please wait to hear from us before you come to get your items.
